Itinerary
Day 1 – Bhutan: Arrival and Leisure Day
After arriving at Paro Airport, you will be transferred to Thimphu. Check into your hotel. The first day of your Bhutan tour lets you explore at leisure. You can either spend the afternoon relaxing or go out to visit the interesting Centenary Farmer’s Market (only open on weekends). Fill your evening with a relaxing visit to the Tashichho Dzong or The Monk Body’s block (between 5:30- 6:00 PM) as you stroll around the town.
Return to your hotel for a cozy overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 2 – Thimphu – Sightseeing
Wake up to a delicious breakfast and get prepared for a sightseeing tour of Thimphu on the second day of your 5-night 6 days Bhutan tour. Start by visiting the National Memorial Chorten, followed by a visit to the popular Buddha point known as Kuensel Phodrang for panoramic views of Thimphu Valley. Your next stop will be the Changangkha Monastery, the oldest temple in the valley and then a visit to the Takin Zoo.
In the afternoon, the sightseeing tour of the town will include visiting Changlimithang Stadium and Archery Ground, the Jungshi handmade paper factory and finally the Institute for Zorig Chusum also known as the 13 arts and Crafts School. Afterwards, return to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 3 – Punakha: Sightseeing
Relish a hearty breakfast at the hotel and leave for Punakha after obtaining a permit. Stop at the Dochula Pass en route from where the highest peaks of Bhutan are visible. Continue your drive and reach the valley of Punakha. Visit the Punakha Dzong, built in the 17th century at the confluence of the Po and Mo Chu rivers. Afterwards, Visit Chhimi Lhakhang in Punakha. Head to your hotel, check-in and retire after a tiring third day of your Bhutan Tour.
Day 4 – Paro: Arrival and Sightseeing
Right after a delicious breakfast, check out and begin your drive to Paro as per your 6 days Bhutan Tour. Enjoy the magical views of Shaba River Point and Paro Airport on your way. Arrive in Paro and check in at your hotel. After relaxing for some time, visit the great Paro Dzong, beautifully built with a long fascinating history. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5 – Paro: An adventurous day
After a wholesome breakfast at the hotel, your Bhutan Trip Itinerary will take you for an adventurous trek to the popular Taktsang Monastery. A 5-hour trek amidst the picturesque landscapes of Bhutan will lead you to the Tiger’s Nest, located on top of a cliff with a sheer drop in front.
